Appointments
Making an Appointment
To book an appointment with a Clinician, please telephone the surgery on 01268 385 380 on the day you require the appointment. Phonelines are open from 8am in the morning. We will no longer be booking appointments in Reception, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
All calls will be triaged by the Clinician who will call you back to discuss your condition and any treatment necessary. Once you have spoken to the Clinican, they may make an appointment for you to come into the Practice for a face to face appointment. While we do our best to help, please be aware that we cannot guarantee which clinician will call you.
You can also book a telephone callback from a Clinician, from the patients appointments ONLINE through the MyGP app, please see the 'Make an Appointment Online' link at the top of this page. These calls will also be triaged by the Clinician.
Due to the triage system, exact call times during the day cannot be given.
The surgery also offers the facilities to book appointments up to 2 weeks in advance.
Cancel an Appointment
It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the Practice that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Cancellations of an appointment less than 30 minutes before the start time will also result in a letter being sent. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.
If you need to cancel your appointment, please call on 01268 385 380.
Home Visits
If possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit. These can only be made on the day.
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.
You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
